Hub City Writers are hosting a book exchange and reading at JavaWerks on April 25th.

Bring old books you don't need anymore to swap them for different books!

Our next meeting will be the THIRD WEEK of October on the 19th.

Please come by between from 11-2 or 4-9 on October 12th to buy a bowl, eat, and support Main Street Books! The cost is $20 for the bowl/meal and proceeds will go to charity.

The fourth Saturday of the month (Oct 26th) is USM's Homecoming. Town will be a bit too crowded for our meeting! To the top!

We had a nice meeting today, reading through and commenting on scenes from upcoming novels by Pat and Becka. Both were fantastic!

Our next meeting will be on September 14th -- and sorry I hadn't already posted! I missed our last meeting due to sickness and therefore forgot to update the site.

In other news, another local writer's group, The Hattiesburg Chapter of the Mississippi Writer's Guild, has published their first Anthology! You can find Pinebelt Poetry and Prose on Amazon and Goodreads.

Congratulations to them!

Had a wonderful meeting today and read three excellent samples of writing from Mary, Becka, and Van. Good all around, and all very enjoyable.

Had a good meeting today with several (three!) new people. We read a great story about a girl living in the South in the 60s -- hilarious!
